DESCRIPTION
MX USB matrix boards are designed to route up to eight Host CPUs to one or more USB peripheral devices, such as keyboards and mice. They support data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps and are compatible with USB 2.0/1.1/1.0 specifications. Host and Peripheral Emulation is provided on all ports for reliable, problem-free boot up, even without a tie being made to a connected device. Four integrated, two-port USB hubs simplify integration in common keyboard/mouse applications. Each hub port supplies 5 Volts, 500 mA power for attached keyboards, mice, or other peripheral devices. SMX USB Matrix Boards are ideal for use in the creation of KVM - keyboard, video, mouse matrix applications when combined with available SMX DVI, HDMI, or VGA matrix switching boards. They are available in two I/O sizes: 4x4 and 8x4.
Features
* USB 2.0 compatible — Compatible with current and previous USB standards.
* Supports data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps — Allows high speed transfer from thumb drives and other mass storage devices.
* Host and Peripheral Emulation Mode — Offers increased system reliability by emulating uninterrupted connection between host and keyboard/mouse devices. This feature enables devices to "keep alive" when switching between inputs.
* Integrated two port hubs with 5 Volts, 500 mA available on each output — Allows simultaneous connection of keyboard and mouse with a single tie and provides power for connected peripheral devices.
