DESCRIPTION

The Extron DVI 101 is a DVI equalizer that offers a convenient, economical solution for extending single link DVI signals significantly beyond the capability of standard DVI cables. The DVI 101 attaches to the end of a long DVI cable run of up to 200 feet (60 meters). It automatically provides the necessary active equalization to ensure optimal image quality with HDTV signals up to 1080p/60, 2K, and computer-video signals up to 1920x1200. The DVI 101 is ideal for temporary applications as well as permanent installations with long DVI cable runs.

The DVI 101 passes EDID - Extended Display Identification Data information and supports the long distance transmission of HDTV signals with HDCP - High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection for copy protection of digital television broadcasts and high resolution digital video output from DTV tuners and DVRs, and Blu-ray Disc players. The DVI 101 is fully compatible with HDMI signals when used with the appropriate adapters from Extron.

At shorter distances, the DVI 101 can be powered by the source device via the DVI cable. An LED indicator provides a quick means of verifying power and signal presence from the source. The DVI 101 is housed in a compact 1" (2.5 cm) high, one-eighth rack width enclosure for easy placement and concealment.
