DESCRIPTION

The Extron USB HUB4 MAAP is a four-port, USB 2.0 compatible hub designed for architectural mounting applications. It allows the sharing of several USB devices on a single host port and adds USB support to a variety of Extron architectural mounting products. The USB HUB4 supports data speeds up to 480 Mbps and provides 500 mA for each connected device when used with an Extron ENERGY STAR® qualified external power supply. Its compact, MAAP - Mini Architectural Adapter Plate form factor is easily integrated with a variety of Extron architectural connectivity products, making it the ideal choice for any environment requiring convenient, integrated USB connectivity.

* Supports data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps — Allows high speed transfer from thumb drives and other mass storage devices.
* Four port output hub with 5V, 500mA available on each port — Allows simultaneous connection to multiple peripheral devices such as mass storage devices, keyboards, mice, or other HID – Human Interface Devices. When used with an energy-efficient external universal power supply, the USB HUB4 can provide 5 V, 500 mA on each port for attached peripheral devices.

* Choice of USB bus power or optional energy-efficient external universal power supply — The USB HUB4 can be powered by the USB host or with an optional external 12 VDC power supply, part # 70-775-01. The USB HUB4 features a power loop-out so that it can share external power with another Extron product. An external power supply is recommended for use in applications where full USB port power is required for USB peripherals such as smart phones, webcams, personal media players, or external portable hard drives.
